Qualifications

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a MA in Counseling, and a  Nationally Certified Counselor practicing in the Walker county area. 

 

Philosophy and Approach

My focus in counseling centers on working with clients to address individual needs, collaboratively setting goals and monitoring progress, providing tools to help promote positive change.  I approach counseling with children through mutual respect and understanding in a nonjudgmental and compassionate way.

 

Orientation

My counseling techniques include person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and collaborative problem solving.

 

Duration of Services

Some clients may need only a few counseling sessions to achieve their goals, while others may require months or more. It is important to find the right fit for your needs and that of your child. I can also assist in referring you to other health care professionals in your area.
